The adoption of Multi-cloud is rising and organizations continue to embrace the benefits of going for a strategy which is spanning over to multiple cloud vendors along with the hybrid clouds. The important area for the customers is how to control the cost while opting for the multi-cloud strategy along with the challenges of selecting the right application and services from different vendors.
Cross cloud integration and multi-cloud security are other key aspects for the customers to have a clear strategy and tools in place.

  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Data Integration. the new release enables the bulk data loader task focusing on the use cases where n:n loading of data is required between two systems with minimal-to-no transformations. Another feature is added to support the fetching of file metadata for the files residing in OCI Object Storage and AWS S3. OCI Data Integration It supports extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data for data science and analytics with the capabilities to design code-free data flows into data lakes and data marts.
  • New feature to support Helm with OCI DevOps for deployment to Kubernetes:
    • Helm enables the management of Kubernetes applications with Helm Charts to define, install, and upgrade.
    • How to deploy Helm on OCI, you can use this guide to deploy on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) DevOps service - Helm charts to Container Engine for Kubernetes (OKE) cluster
  • DevOps service supports now Security scanning for Maven
  • Upgrade OCI CLI version 3.9.1 or higher to get the support of interactive mode for the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure command-line interface. Refer standard doc
  • Now you can provision MySQL DB Systems using E4 Standard, Intel Standard, and Intel Optimized shapes.

  • OCI Network Firewall: It is an integrated, cloud-native managed firewall service built using next-generation firewall technology from Palo Alto Networks.
  • atmos is a command-line tool for provisioning, managing and orchestrating workflows across various toolchains. It is for automating cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters and It is open source.
  • Scout Suite is an open-source multi-cloud security-auditing tool, which enables security posture assessment of cloud environments. Using the APIs exposed by cloud providers, Scout Suite gathers configuration data for manual inspection and highlights risk areas.
